The airport is 6km out. Bus 3G or the shuttle train reach the centre in about 15 minutes.
Uzupis across the river declared itself a republic in 1997. Its constitution is on the wall in 20 languages.
The funicular to Gediminas Tower saves a steep climb and runs from the cathedral side of the hill.
